Cool The power of words

For good or for bad the words we say give birth of unusual and shattering power - the power of the emotions sometimes being disastrous...If you have some time, you may read the story bellow. I should say that the piece of work at least deserves some attention...

The bear and the woodcutter
Long, long time ago into the deep forest there was Woodcutter, who uses to make his living by selling timber. His work was hard and his life was simple but happy. One day he went far deep in the ancient wood in order to find good dry holy-oak. After long way finally he found the valuable tree and started his cutting work without any delay. Suddenly there was a cracking sound and the enormous trunk of the age-old tree fell down over the stumped Axeman. When he came back in conscious from his faint he found himself roughly pressed to the ground under the brutal stalk of the oak-tree. The lumberman was big and tough man who was accustomed in doing very rough job every single day of his life. He strained his muscular body and struggled manfully trying every possible way to make himself free, but alas – all his efforts were hopeless. Eventually he betrayed and became waiting his doom desperately. When ready to die he lost any hope he stared by heavy steps and deep grunt around. The enormous head with bloody mouth full of teeth leaned over his frighten face. Mighty meat-eating bear was coming to see what was brought by the chance for his dinner. The man was frighten to death by the colossal furry figure bend over. Suddenly the Bear become to talk: “This is your lucky day Axeman. I have a fresh kill and I don’t think that I am going to eat you but even I am willing to help you.” And saying this, the mighty master of the wood drew aside the trunk as though it was a feather. The dizzy Axeman arouse with pain and disbelieving said to the Bear: “ What would you like me to do to thank you for what you have done to me?”
“Just be my friend – that’s it” grunted the Bear
And since that very day the Axeman regularly visited his mighty friend bringing him delicious things prepared by his wife especially for the Bear. The Bear on his turn helped him in his heavy job finding the most valuable trees and soon the Axeman became a well to do man. One day after lunch the Axeman said to the Bear: “You know Bear your mouth doesn’t smell good, why you don’t wash tour teeth – this will make your breath better…” The Bear suddenly arouse on his rump and gave a row to him: “Hit me with your hatchet, hit me at once or I am going to kill you stupid human!” The astonished man had nothing to do then to fulfill the Bear’s order, and he hit him on the shoulder, made deep bloody gash on it. The Bear rushed into ancient wood and disappeared. Very long time after then, Axeman tried to find The Bear, to give him his apology but without any result – the Bear was gone. The time had passed sadly day after day, when one day in the evening, on the way to his home after work, the Axeman was faced surprisingly by the Bear. The happy man left the bunch of trees and rush cheerfully to the Bear: “Where you’ve been old friend, I have missed you so much! I felt myself forlorn and neglected… ” The Bear sadly looked at him then said: “ Long time past, my wound healed already. However the glow of the insult you gave me is still alive and burns me from inside with anger, so heretofore you Axeman stay away from the woods if you want to live! I am not your friend anymore, but you will be my pray…” And since that moment the people and the bears are rivals due to the stupid act of one ungrateful man. That’s why is always right to remember that the words can be harmful even more then the arms…
